Bob Neal was the first manager of legendary musician Elvis Presley. He met Presley in 1954 when he was working for Sun Records and helped him get signed to RCA Victor, where he produced his first hit single, "Heartbreak Hotel." Neal managed Presley from 1954 to 1956, during which time he helped shape the young artist's image and pave the way for his success as a rock and roll icon. Neal left Presley's management team in 1956 due to financial disagreements but continued to work in the music industry as a promoter and producer. He passed away in 1983 at the age of 54.
